The Hammer Museum explores the capacity of art to impact and illuminate our lives, and recognizes the crucial role that artists play in all aspects of human experiences. The collections range in depth and diversity of artistic expression through the centuries with special emphasis on art of our time.
In addition to the exhibitions, the museum features lectures, symposia, film series, readings, and musical performances.
They also have free student educator-led tours on Thursdays at 6-15pm, and lunchtime art talks on Wednesdays.
